MicroLan Systems, Inc. announced that the company has been ISO 9001:2000 certified for their Quality Management System for the "Configuration and Production of Custom Industrial Computer Systems". MSI was determined ISO 9001:2000 compliant by the National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI), accredited by the American National Standards Institute and the Registrar Accreditation Board. This recommendation independently confirms that MSI’s business processes conform to the international standard set forth by ISO 9001:2000.
Achieving the ISO 9001:2000 level of certification required MSI to conform to a higher quality standard than previously mandated. ISO 9001:2000 specifies requirements for a quality management system where an organization needs to demonstrate its ability to consistently provide product that meets customer and applicable regulatory requirements. ISO 9001:2000 also aims to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system, including processes for continual improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable regulatory requirements.
"The MSI Quality Management System is designed to control all of the important processes affecting quality, from the initial receipt of an order to the delivery of the finished product," said Suk Harvey, CEO of MSI. "Customer satisfaction and continuous improvement are MSI’s permanent objectives."
